Clay is a native of Albany, Georgia. He holds degrees from the University of Mobile, Beeson Seminary, and is pursuing his Doctorate in Ministry at New Orleans Theological Baptist Seminary. He married his beautiful wife, Bailey, in 2021.
Clay was the pastor to students and volunteers at Dayspring Baptist in Mobile from 2020-2025. At the end of his time at Dayspring, he sensed God’s call to plant a church in Orange Beach. The Wyatts moved here full-time in November of 2025 to start Palms Community Church.
In his spare time, Clay enjoys date nights with Bailey, cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs, playing basketball, reading theology, and traveling to new places. His passion is to preach God's Word faithfully, see people saved, and to mobilize the Church to carry out the Great Commission.
We believe that the Bible is God’s breathed out, inerrant Word. As a result, we seek to teach the Word with courage, conviction, and clarity. Thereafter, we seek to obey all of Christ’s commands, knowing they are for our good.
Churches weren’t created to be programs. That’s why we open our hearts and homes to one another. We cultivate an environment where you can know others and be known, yourself.
Every Christian has a calling, and every member has a ministry. We seek to serve the local body of Christ and those within the city, even when it costs us.
We remind ourselves that every person has an eternal destination—one in the presence of God and one cut off from Him forever. That drives us to love our neighbor and make every attempt to share the story of Jesus with them.
Sunday services at Palms last around an hour. Our church family sings together, prays together, and hears a sermon from the Bible, taught by our pastor. Come as you are and experience authentic connection with our people.
